About Rosario

Argentina is a nation of contrasts with landscapes ranging from tropical forests to the ice fields of the Antarctic. The beaches of the Atlantic coast roll onto the flat verdant pampas, wide-open spaces with an unlimited horizon that stretches westward and dry out, eventually colliding with the majestic Andes mountains.

With 1,200,000 inhabitants, Rosario has an alluring cosmopolitan feel, supporting theaters, museums, historical mansions, national monuments and two first-division professional soccer teams. Located 300 km NW of Buenos Aires, on the right bank of the Paraná river, the city has a privileged position due to its geographic location. Founded at the beginning of the XVIII century, it has a rich history influenced by European ancestry in a uniquely South American way. This is an academic town, famous for its writers, artists and universities, the most important of which is the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. The city is modern, with riverside promenades, boulevards and parks and a great sports life, windsurf, sailing and fishing on the Paraná river, golf, rugby, soccer and plenty of other activities in its numerous sport clubs.
